Community Association

Important and Integral part of Waitaki Boys'

Community Association meetings are held once a month on a Tuesday at 5:30pm in the school staffroom, where once reports are received from the Rector and the Uniform Shop,  the progress of current projects are discussed.

The Community Association runs the Uniform Shop and usually organise a fundraising event per year. All profits from the Uniform Shop and fundraising is donated back to the School for projects to support the learning of all students. In the past year the Community Association has donated money for sports gear, a Sakura Printing Press for the Art Department, donated funds to the library, donated towards the maintenance and upkeep of Prize-Giving Cups, financially supported our Matariki celebration and donated funds to the Music department to buy a Synthesizer. The Community Association supports our students through many different avenues. During  the year they also help at school events such as the Year 8 Open Night, Scrano and Senior Prize-Giving, providing support or offering refreshments.

The Community Association are a group of adults who are eager to help, interested in the education of our boys' and passionate about Waitaki Boys' High School. The Community Association is a great way to stay actively involved and contribute positively to the education of our boys'.
