The primary purpose of Waitaki Boys’ High School is academic achievement through goal setting, development of a strong work ethic and meeting high expectations. We expect every boy to fulfil his academic potential.
We aim to prepare students for NCEA and life beyond High School.
At Waitaki Boys' High School we believe that academic success is available to every student who is prepared to work hard and take advice and guidance from their teachers.
At Years 9 and 10 junior students at Waitaki Boys' High School undertake a wide variety of subjects that cover the NZ School Curriculum. This includes compulsory lessons in English, Mathematics, Science, Social Sciences and Health & Physical education. Students also engage in modules that cover the Arts and Technology.
Waitaki Boys' is a Bring Your Own Device School, and students need to bring suitable digital device to class.
We appreciate that purchasing a device might be a stretch for some families, so if you would like to enquire about our small number of loan devices, please contact Mr John Robinson, Head of Technology johnr@waitakibhs.school.nz
